It takes a village

From a hospital handout about my IVIG treatment

Wait. Donated human plasma? For some reason I thought the antibodies were synthetic?

Turns out that all these antibodies, from human beings all over the world, are marching (albeit SLOWLY— takes about 3-4 hours for a little bottle) into my bloodstream to go into battle and make things right.

How EPIC is that?

Cue spirit-lifting Lord of the Rings soundtrack.
