Uhhhhh
That feeling you get during a global novel-virus pandemic when you're on immune-suppressing drugs (like Rituximab) — so your natural ability to fight off invaders is compromised — but you're fully vaccinated and boosted and pretty sure you'll be fine . . .
. . . and then studies get done and results gets released and word comes down the pike that maybe you're not so protected after all.
BUT happily, Modern Science is on it, and there's EVUSHELD, straight-up antibodies of two different kinds (which are, weirdly, injected separately into both arms at the same time.)
I was put on a wait list to get mine, and when I got to the clinic the doctors there had not yet had a chance to administer the shots to anybody and seemed kind of excited about it. "Wait, we'd better read about this!" Not exactly confidence-inducing, but the rheumatologist highly recommended the antibodies, and she has consistently been right in terms of my healing. . .
